SAIL is currently running several research studies. Some topics we're focused on include mental health apps, parent and child interactions, anxiety during major life changes, and stress in family relationships.

Childbirth Anxiety

Research study focusing on the development of anxious thoughts during first-time mother's pregnancies. 

Mindful Parenting

Parenting advice can often seen complicated, confusing, and contradictory. Our study aims to provide provide parents with an opportunity to practice simple evidence-based steps to improve their parenting practices and strengthen relationships with their children.

Training Helpful Interpretations in Kids

Gaining access to quality mental health interventions can be challenging for many youth and their families. The goal of the THINK program is provide individuals with a mental health app that can be used anytime and anyplace to promote positive thinking styles.

Differences in Depressive Trajectories

Research project focused on identifying patterns of informant discrepancies with respect to youth depressive symptoms reported during life transitions.

Bullying & Depression Risk Study

Secondary analysis which identified teenagers relative depression risk, as well as protective and vulnerability factors, across varying levels of bullying behavior.  

Brief Cognitive Bias Modification for Social Anxiety

Examining the effects of a single session interpretation bias modification program on alleviating state anxiety amongst socially anxious individuals. 

Intervention Subgroup Interactions of the Incredible Years Classroom Management Program

Generalized Linear Mixed-Effects Model Trees show the ability to detect meaningful partitions to characterize the intervention effect of the IT TCM program.
